  • Guest：Cannot speak highly enough of the staff at this hotel. Each and everyone from checkin to waitress were sp friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. They made oir stay thanks for a great break.

  • Guest：I have stayed in 100s of Hotels. I now try to avoid the chrome & glass gin palace type. I use budget hotels for a one night stay. However this was a 5 day break to celebrate my partners 60th birthday. The Hotel was wonderful, historic building but maintained well. Lovely staff who made us feel very welcome. A lovely cooked to order breakfast and the evening meal was cooked to perfection and our waiting staff were better than most restaurants. The room was perfect, cleaned when we required and the location is perfect. There is a bus to town every 15mins which is just 3 stops away. If you are visiting Bath this is the best hotel to stay in.
  • Guest：In all fairness i can't judge the cleanliness, location or amenities of this hotel because I had a life-threatening medical incident 2 days before my booking date. Therefore I am rating them 'average' for those aspects. My only personal experience is with their customer service which is quite frankly appalling. I flew in to Heathrow 2 days before my reservation at Lansdown Grove and was immediately rushed by ambulance to A&E and admitted to acute care. On the same day, i contacted the hotel. Every other hotel, transport or tour operator agreed to reschedule or cancel given the situation but Lansdown Grove was absolutely inflexible. In our email exchanges they listed every imaginable excuse for their policy, even that my reservation had prevented other guests from booking - despite there being at least a dozen rooms available on trip.com for that night. I feel that if I'd died in their lobby, they would have rifled through my pockets to make sure they took payment for the room. One would think that a well presented 4 star hotel wouldn't be so desperate for money. I hope they put the ￡90 to good use.
