Guest：Room was excellent, Staff were so lovely and the food was absolutely brilliant both dinner and Breakfast - would 100% recommend
Guest：We had a lovely evening on Saturday at Plantation House. The menu is absolutely delightful, tastes even better than the description and it is excellent value. Good choice of wines on the list and reasonably priced. Even though the restaurant was full the service was excellent. A perfect evening with friends and a little bit different to standard restaurants.
Guest：If you stay in Plantation House, you will be warmly welcomed by its owner, and his charming assistants Kirsty and Brigitte! Our bedroom was comfortable (maybe would benefit from better lighting by the beds); we had fruits and biscuits in the room, plenty of water too. The highlight was the two excellent gourmet meals we had, duck on one night, venison the second night, both perfectly cooked with interesting vegetables. The first one was cooked specially for us by the owner as the Chef was not on duty on a Sunday evening. Breakfast was great too. Brigitte kindly showed us a book about the history and previous occupants of this old rectory. So interesting, and as we were the only guests then, we appreciated the attention and care given to us, especially after a stressful day spent at the hospital. The church in Ermington is well worth a visit as it displays some stunning woodcarvings by Violet Pinwill who lived in the rectory at the end of the 18th century. Thank you.
Guest：This was our second visit to what has become one of our favourite hotels without a doubt. It is so very relaxed yet professional in every way. We chose the same room as before it is spacious and luxurious and so comfortable. The bed and pillows are excellent The shower is the best I have ever had and it seems all the other guests were talking about the wonders of their showers at breakfast. Evening meal was superb. Richard certainly knows how to cook every course was flavoursome, wholesome and just gorgeous. Our lovely server Abbie was a delight she was so friendly cheerful but not over the top just great. Breakfast was again lovely but we were still full from the excellent meal the night before but managed it! Overall such a wonderful place which we love we are planning our next visit and can’t wait. There are so many lovely places to visit round and about so that’s what we will do next time. Highly recommended
