Guest：This was our second stay. We love coming. It is perfect for us when we only have time for one night's stay before returning to Devonport to catch the boat back to the mainland. We arrive in the dark for late check in and wake up in the morning to gorgeous garden views in the historic estate. They supply generous breakfast ingredients including fresh eggs from the hooks. There is no rush to leave in the morning and we join in for the morning feeding rounds of the lambs and calf. It is a draw card for an animal lover

With lambs, ducks, fluffy headed chickens, posturing Thanksgiving dinner AKA turkeys, birdlife and much more along with a fascinating history of the Archer generations and convict era to discover, this is a spot only minutes into historic Longford, better appreciated with a stay of more than one day. The private residence garden, only open on set days, is alone worth the admission fee of $20 for non-staying guests. You can walk through the Brickendon paddocks to the adjoining Woolmer Estate where the other Archers once lived. With the airport a quick drive away, what more could a traveller wish for?
Guest：We spent one night in Sweetcorn cottage with my elderly parents (an 80th birthday trip for Dad) two adult children & myself. Beds were very comfortable, very generous breakfast supplies laid on including farm fresh eggs, fruit, cereal, bread, butter, milk & orange juice. We were met at the back door by a gaggle of ducks in the morning. Went for a beautifully peaceful walk down to the river then around the Heritage gardens. Just stunning. Wish we’d had more time to tour Woolmer as well.
