  • Guest:This year for our anniversary with everything that has been going on we decided to keep our money in Lincolnshire. We only live 30 miles away but The Petwood has always been somewhere we have wanted to visit and stay due to its links with 617 squadron and Bomber Command. (We had also arranged visits to Lincoln and East Kirkby). The hotel did not disappoint. The measures that have been put in place to ensure everyone’s safety are easy enough to follow, and as soon as you enter the hotel we were greeted by a smiling and welcoming member of staff and throughout our stay all the staff we saw greeted us in the same way. The food is lovely, not only the breakfasts but also the evening meals. We haven’t been anywhere with such a selection for breakfast. The rooms are very comfortable with everything you need for a short break and when we needed some replenishing of refreshments nothing was too much trouble. What also made our stay was walking around the lovely gardens it was certainly a good way to walk off your breakfast. Will definitely look at staying again.
  • Guest:Room 309 was well priced and located on the second floor to the side of the building, accessible by lift or stairs. The view was over the car park and woodland but still felt private. The room was small but clean and comfortable. Noise from the neighbouring room was noticeable. Unfortunately the plug sockets weren’t well positioned for bedside charging, being located behind the bed and impossible to reach and the tv remote was stuck together with sticky tape. The restaurant was excellent — food was well presented and cooked well. Staff throughout were friendly, attentive and professional, creating a relaxed atmosphere. There’s a good choice of dining options, with the restaurant offering fine dining or a more casual, relaxed atmosphere in the Sportsman’s Bar. The hotel itself is very inviting, with a lovely lounge featuring comfy sofas, board games and a crackling log fire. Plenty of parking, acres of woodland gardens to explore, dog friendly, and only a brisk 10-minute walk into town
  • Guest:Enjoyed a delightful one night stay, the food and drink was excellent and the rooms and hotel facilities were quiet, comfortable, well and presented. The hotel is steeped in history and is set in beautiful grounds in the delightful former spa town of Woodhal Spa.
  • Guest:I have thought long and hard before posting this review. We stayed a couple of years ago and had the most amazing stay in the most amazing room, unfortunately our stay last night wasn't as nice. Our latest stay was a birthday present which was in one of the garden rooms, not up to the standard we would have expected. The furniture was rickety, the bed was uncomfortable and the shower cubicle was far too small even for my petite wife. Overall our room was poor quality and I will go as far as to say I have stayed in a better Travelodge. I don't think our latest experience will stop us returning but we certainly won't be booking a garden room
