The Kunming Hotel (Kunming Fandian) is one of the city's oldest hotels, conveniently located just 5 km (3.1 mi) from the railway station and 7 km (4.4 mi) from the airport.

The hotel boasts more than 400 guestrooms, ranging from standard doubles to deluxe and presidential suites.

  • Guest：The staff is friendly and helful (徐玉玲 and other). The building is at 南楼。The local food is around the corner.
  • Guest：Nestled right in the middle of everything and close to Subways. OR bar is connected to the hotel, yet you don't hear any noise showing the good insulation. Front desk is fast and helpful. Water takes a while to heat up.
  • Guest：Old hotel, service is fine, no wifi event the TV is not working. Affordable for budget travelers.
  • Guest：挂牌4星酒店，设施都是比较完备的，就是太老旧…… 优点：交通方便，周边景点步行可到，自己的南楼就是老的泰国领事馆，早饭种类基本都有，比较新鲜，价格便宜200多一间房还含双早，有大型停车场，毕竟20年前也是昆明头牌酒店 缺点：设施老旧，服务跟不上
