Guest：We went on a Friday morning in January shortly after it opened up to try the pool club and lunch. We hoped we could make this a regular thing as we live not too far away. There were not many people at the pool then and the water was lovely and warm and sufficiently deep so you could really swim. The decor was interesting and nice. However, the main thing we took away from the experience is that the Miami club-like music was incredibly loud. I can understand having this vibe maybe in the afternoons and certainly the evenings, but at 9:30 in the morning it was not at all enjoyable. We could barely hear each other or hear the server and the sound was just oppressively loud. We moved around to various seating areas to try to find a spot that wasn't so oppressively loud but it was all about the same (but loudest by the pool) at 69 decibels (see the photo). We did ask the staff to turn the music down but they said it was supposed to be like that and they would not. The lunch was also a little disappointing and served with some plastic wrapping still on it. But the main reason we have not wanted to come back is due to the excessively loud music for a weekday morning as that made the experience not enjoyable for us. A shame!
Guest：Pros: Nice location for a business conference. Quiet and beautiful surroundings. The tapas at Bay Bay were very tasty. The staff at Bay Bay were also friendly. And it is close to the airport. Points for improvement: No TV in the hotel room, and no option to make coffee or tea in the room. The room was extremely hot and the air conditioning didn’t work. There was also no way to open a window. There was only a sliding door, and since I was on the ground floor, I couldn’t leave it open because anyone could walk in. Poor lighting in the bathroom and unfortunately no disposable shower cap provided. All in all, fine for a business meeting, but not a place I would go to for a private stay.
Guest：Average, ain't worth it. To many non staying ppl, blocking hotel guests getting a seat around the pool. Quite Ordinary beverages and food selection. A charter resort not a country club. Fresh facilities however.
Guest：Went to Hjortviken for a work conference and honestly? 10/10 would recommend. It somehow managed to hit that sweet spot between professional and actually fun — not an easy combo. First of all: they served sandwich cake (sm?rg?st?rta) during the coffee break. SANDWICH. CAKE. What a power move. More venues should take notes. Then at breakfast, I casually asked about a very specific kind of crispbread (plain, no seeds, no drama). They didn’t have it. But the next day? Boom. There it was. Bought in just for me. I nearly proposed. The staff? Absolute gems. Super friendly without that fake “I’ve-had-too-much-coffee” energy. Just chill, warm, and on it. Loved that. Post-conference, we hit the Pool Club to decompress — great music, cozy vibe, but let’s talk about the real MVP: the olives. I don’t know what they did to them, but we ordered one plate… then another… then five more. At some point it became a lifestyle choice. All in all, Hjortviken knows what they’re doing. Thoughtful details, good food, great people. Would happily go back — with or without work as an excuse.
