  • Guest：It was great for a 1 day countryside trip, we had dinner at their pub and it was overall good, there is also another cute local pub within walking distance with live music!
  • Guest：Nous avons dormi cette fois dans la suite familiale dans la cour derrière l'auberge,près de l'olivier. Une chambre parentale,une chambre pour deux de nos enfants avec deux lits individuels,un salon avec canapé convertible une salle d'eau, des rangements,un plateau de courtoisie... D?ner à l'auberge excellent,tout comme le petit déjeuner.service rapide ,souriant, copieux. Les chiens ont sont très bienvenus ! Chilham reste une destination de rêve pour qui veut se reposer .
  • Guest：We were looking for a cheap night’s stay with breakfast and parking. (Stay in Chichester and you can pay ￡20 for parking overnight). Fishbourne is a short drive in and we parked at Northgate right on top of the festival theatre. The room was basic but comfortable and clean. The owner is very obliging and working hard to keep this a viable business and there is lots going on. In the morning there was a men’s breakfast club going on and it did not interfere with us having our breakfast but greatly added to the interest. The breakfast was freshly cooked and all service was very pleasant. Although the hotel is a little tired expectations need to meet cost and we felt we had very good value in a convenient location. ￡85 for 2 with breakfast and parking is a bargain.
  • Guest：We have been going to the Woolpack for over 40 years. It is a firm favourite. We last visited in 2020, during Covid, when the previous owner had ripped the heart out of the place and it was dirty and run down. We saw there had been new owners and chanced it today - we checked it out today. The in. Is back on form - enthusiastic and proud ( rightly) owner who not only sold the place, but also another five inns which her family own and run. I am sure we will, try them all out but we are looking forward to Christmas shopping in Canterbury and staying at the Woolpack. And in response to an earlier post, we found the staff helpful and attentive and had no problem with the variety of beers on offer!
