Guest：We were concerned the first evening as the local youths were using the road outside the building as a race track. It's quieter in Coventry on a Saturday night. Fortunately the rest of the holiday was much quieter, other than the hyperactive baby elephant who seemed to be staying above us in the second week. We had a Junior suite, which was easily large enough, very clean and generally well equipped. We would have liked a tea pot, a small side table for drinks and somewhere to sit in the garden other than the by the pool. I suspect that your list would be entirely different, and they can't please everyone. We did ask if there should be a bread knife and when we came back in the evening they gave us a knife that they must have bought while we were out. How many places would do that? The person who left a poor review saying the staff were 'unfriendly' must have been a bit on the unpleasant side themselves, Richard and Ida were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. There is a small car park just over the road from the accommodation – a sign would have helped. I'd advise you to have a look on Google Street View before you arrive. The welcome breakfast was very extensive and lasted us most of the first week. You'd have to have an enormous appetite to eat it all for one breakfast. Tripadvisor mentions that 'Breakfasts can also be purchased for ￡10 per room per day' Apparently that isn't the case. The pool is available for all guests. I noticed a complaint in the reviews about removing the pool cover...it takes about a minute to remove and 20 seconds to replace – not exactly taxing. The cover is to help warm the pool from the sun and when we went in it was remarkably warm. On the whole I would highly recommend Undercliffe.
Guest：We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment. It was fabulous and met our needs perfectly. I love the colour scheme, nice and modern and clean with a real flavour of the islands. Spacious enough for the family and had all we needed. Good location for us, but would definitely recommend having a car! Owners are wonderfully hospitable, thank you for the coffee machine! The only slight downside is that the paring in the car park sometimes can be tricky (if other cars do not follow the layout suggested)
Guest：Well situated if you go for rest and quiet. A bit of at the end of the world actually. Liked it very much. We booked just a simple room wthout fancy equipment (just sink, coffee machine, water boiler, microwave oven), but there are upscale options, all self-catering. Family run: friendly, helpful people. We went everywhere by public transport, which is quite advisable. Roads are sometimes frighteningly narrow. Traffic goes at a leisurely, complaisant pace though. Did quite a bit simply on foot. Bus to St Helier every two hours. Coming back takes quite a bit more time, due to complicated bus trajectories. Check your last one ! Would certainly go back to laidback Jersey and to Undercliff.
Guest：We came for a big family celebration in Trinity parish. We booked 4 suites for 8 of us for 5 nights. The location was perfect- starting the mornings with sea swimming 150m from the front door, or in several of the other NE Jersey coast bays, (Fliquet bay being a highlight) was special, particularly good for clearing the head from the night before. Facilities were spot on for our needs- each suite group agreed the standard was vg, everything worked and the small but well kitted-out kitchens served our needs well. As others have commented, the generous starter breakfast lasted for days. Richard and Ida were excellent, discrete hosts, capable of meeting our few requests without fuss. We felt welcome. As a self catering business operator, my assessment of Undercliff is that of being a well run business, by an experienced, friendly team.
