Hotel Solisko

Right at the banks of the Strbske Pleso lake, the Hotel Solisko is located in the High Tatras Mountains, 4432 feet above sea level. It has its own spa and fitness center and a lakeside restaurant.

Guest：Me and my partner spent a weekend at Hotel Solisko. It has perfect location, just at the bank of the pitoresque lake ?trbské pleso. It has very nice rooms, comfy beds and especially nice service, inclduding great food. Hotel manager Katka and chef Martin are very friendly and welcoming. They give you great tips what to do, where to go. The hotel is great for couples, families and is also pet friendly. It has got small, but nice welness and you can have a 1 hour long massage just for 35 EUR. I definitely recommend and looking forward to return soon.
Guest：A very nice hotel in this mountain resort in the High Tatras. Very decent rooms and bathrooms in terms of size, furniture and amenities. Decent breakfast as well, included in the room tariff. Decent people at the reception and you can pay also cash and not on;y by credit/debit card. They have a small spa and most functional are the saunas. A jacuzzi is also available and you can kiss it good-bye if the hotel is full. The major advantage of this hotel is that, by comparisson to other 5 star hotel in the vicinity, the room tariff is 1/3 only. When you ask for a room, make sure it is one facing the lake.
Guest：We booked two rooms at this hotel for 3 nights. Good points: Location - near to the lake Decent room size Finnish sauna in the spa area Generally helpful staff (less English spoken compared to other hotels in Slovakia) Slippers and robe. Things we did not like: No air conditioning - the room was far too warm and stuffy even though the small window (with no view) was open all day and night Noisy construction work was being carried out outside our rooms. No advance warning of this was given by the hotel Limited choice at breakfast Toiletries not replaced after use e.g. vanity kit, shower cap (money saving?) We asked for rooms together several months before our arrival. Not actioned. Inadequate curtains which let light through which meant everyone woke up early every day. No minibar. Not like a 4 star hotel Expensive for what we paid for, over €1330 for an equivalent of 6 nights
Guest：Did not know what to expect, as this was the only hotel during our two week Eastern European tour not booked by myself. I was pleasantly surprised. It is an older style ski lodge style hotel, with the angled/awkward shaped rooms (e.g., on top floor). Really enjoyed the breakfast buffet that came with it - a hearty selection of food that will get you through the morning and then some. The circular trail around the lake behind the hotel is wonderful, with picturesque views. There is a more significant trail hiking up one of the mountains, towards the back of the circular trail, after crossing the road. You need to allow quite a bit of time for that one. There is a restaurant on the circular trail that was recommended by our guide, Koliba Patria. We ate there, and quite enjoyed it. Prices were reasonable.
