The open-air baths, surrounded by sea and greenery, offer a spectacular view of Matsushima and the sunrise from Matsushima Bay.
This bath uses heated tap water, not natural hot spring water.
To get there, take the JR Senseki Line from Sendai Station to Matsushima-kaigan Station (40 minutes), then take the ‘private shuttle bus’ for 5 minutes.
A hotel shuttle bus is also available.
