Guest：Our second stay and very enjoyable. Andy and Nic are very friendly and again made us feel super welcome. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the meals tasty and well crafted.The gardens are pleasant and beautifully kept. The house has a peaceful atmosphere and the views from the house are stunning. A little gem of a place.
Guest：We spent two nights at the Hillcrest House, in the Maxwell Room. The room was huge, with spectacular views, perfect for bird watching -- and binoculars were conveniently included. The breakfasts were home cooked to order and were the perfect way to start the day. The hotel itself was charming and the location quiet and peaceful. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend it, wish we could have stayed longer.

Guest：Hillcrest House is a lovely old home lovingly cared for by Andy and Nic. Andy greeted us and got us checked in, showed us to our room, and helped with information, tips, and suggestions for the area. Nic prepared an amazing vegan breakfast and also gave us helpful information. Both Andy and Nic are very kind and friendly, and we love that they rescue Greyhounds. We got to meet Skye, the sweet girl they have now. We highly recommend Hillcrest House because of friendliness of the hosts, the comfortable accommodations, great breakfast, reasonable prices, and the proximity to Wigtown Book Festivals (the shops and town). This is a true bed and breakfast. We will come back to stay again.
