Guest：This Grand Old Hotel is Magnificent!!! We were lucky enough to be booked here with a Gate 1 Tuscany 7 day tour with our son Matt. The front door staff was excellent and by the second day they knew what our room number was and had the key ready as we walked in from out side. The included breakfast buffet was excellent as was the restaurant staff. If we were not in our 80's and were able to travel to Montecantin Terme again we would love to return and stay again in room 116 on the second floor. Ha Ha This old jem of an hotel was 100 yards from the train station and the rest of Italy was ready to be explored.
Guest：The Grand Hotel Plaza is very central for Pisa, Lucca, Sienna, San Gimignano as well as nearby villages. We walked up to M/Alto in 45 minutes from the Hotel but took the lift back down. We ate extremely well (half board) with well balanced dishes different every night. Breakfasts have something for everyone. Staff are really helpful, professional, and friendly - nothing too much trouble! It must be the highest bedroom and grandest dining room ever for us and always so clean. Slept well in a very comfy bed with amazing views over the Plaza and distant hills, shower was good, room safe and kettle most welcome. Cannot comment on the outdoor pool which remained closed. Do not miss the Spa (Terme) with spa tasting and a weekly opera, it,s beautiful. A midweek opera recital we thoroughly enjoyed and recommend if available. Train station is only 10 minutes from the hotel but as part of a group (Travel Dept) we were dropped 100 yds away - no problem! Lift serves all 4 floors taking 6 at a time. Hotel bar is cosy and open late. Highly recommended. Richard -UK
Guest：I write as a Maltese tour leader who has taken several groups of tourists to this hotel. Excellent hotel right in the middle of Montecatini in the central square, near all amenities and important sights. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the food for breakfast and dinner is top notch. I will again be there shortly and I'm looking forward to it. Carmel Caruana.
