Guest：Lovely staff and clean hotel. Pool side rooms can be a little noisy if you need an earlier night ( open until 10pm ) and it was loud with music playing, but we had chosen that room so I will know for next time. Also a strong smell of chemicals from the pool in those rooms so that’s worth considering if you are thinking of getting a pool view. The restaurant was very nice and the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Guest：We stayed on a Thursday night on our way to Montreal. We had a 9 and 10 year old who were very excited about the slide. Once there we were told the slide was closed and only open on the weekends due to staffing. The kids were disappointed but still excited about the pool. Five minutes later a young gentleman came from the front desk and turned on the slide and said he would stay as long as he could for the 2 kids. He stayed for over a hour and made the kid's night. Definitely above and beyond.
Guest：Booked specific room and hotel for the bath tub but the drain plug didn’t work. After a long day of travel, was disappointed I couldn’t have a soak in the tub. Otherwise, clean and nice
Guest：We have always stayed at Universel when driving from Shediac to Ottawa. Pretty close to halfway point. They accept our dog but with a $35 fee. Easy and quick checkin. The restaurant is fantastic (Le Boreal), highly recommend the sous-vide beef or pork cheeks. So freaking good and not overly expensive. Our only issue is the room heater would not shutoff no matter how I set it. So room was very warm. I’m sure they would’ve moved us but we were exhausted and didn’t want to repack.
