  • Guest：The room was ideal for what I needed and was a lot warmer than first looked, with it being in the outbuildings I thought it would be freezing but it was sound. The breakfast was decent enough and overall the stay represented excellent value for money. It’s probably a lot more lively in the summer as the pub/restaurant was empty the night I was there which felt a bit strange. I would stay again if in the area with work.

  • Guest：Highs and lows I must first of all say the staff are lovely and the food was good pub food. Now for the room! I have never experienced staying in a room when the people next door flush the Loo, take a shower and turn on a tap creates a ridiculously loud noise in the room i was staying in. I had very little sleep. I travel every week for work and stay in similar places this at over ￡112.50 including breakfast was very expensive the room was incredibly basic, bed was not comfortable, no fan and it was warm. No room snacks or water, tea bags handed and in a tin. As i said all very basic. Oh and you need to be very small to use the bathroom smallest i have ever seen. To top off a sleepless night we then stood in the car park for just over 15 mins waiting for them to get up to have breakfast along with other guests. This then made us late for our meeting. To finish on a high the pub is in a lovely location and would be ideal for walking break.
  • Guest：We arrived not really sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised - the room was comfortable and clean - the bathroom was a little tired but adequate. The village is very pretty with an old mill and duck pond - enjoyed our walk. We ventured into the pub for a drink and then ordered our meal - the food was very good - I had whitebait followed by the prawn Thai curry and then a lovely lemon sundae with meringue and ice cream - We had a peaceful nights sleep. The breakfast was served by a lovely Thai lady called Rung - she was amazing and was also working the night before - we believe the Chef was the Landlord but this lady was definitely running the place ! We would happily stay again
