Guest：We can recommend this hotel for a short stay in or around Bassano del Grappa. Excellent hotel with nice and comfy rooms, free parking and lovely garden. Even in October the rooms could be heated. The restaurant is extremely good. We had “tartar de boeuf” and a beautiful fish with vegetables. Also the desert tiramisu was very special and delicious. Maybe a good idea to air the room a bit more often.
Guest：Don't count on the restaurant for dinner This is a beautiful hotel in wonderful grounds. However, I feel that they should keep tables available for dinner for guests who have rooms booked. We had 3 rooms booked and had booked here specifically because there was a restaurant, we were arriving quite late and the food had been so good last time we were in the area. We called on the way from the airport to reserve a table only to be told that they had a function on and we would have to find somewhere else to eat. We did not know the area and arrived in the centre of town around 9.15pm. We couldn't find anywhere to park, so didn't eat until after 10.15 (and this was only because the guys running the restaurant kept their kitchen open for us). We eventually got to the hotel around midnight. Absolutely shattered. Not an ideal start to a business week in Italy. Other than that everything was fine.
