I had the most magical experience celebrating my 60th birthday with three generations of family and friends at Geejam! Thankfully hurricane Melissa spared this lush, beautiful sanctuary, that provided the backdrop for my milestone event. Staff member Rueyella, was instrumental in helping me execute my vision, for excursions and party planning details, months in advance! We danced the night away at the beautiful panorama, at the top of the hill. The sunshine showed up for each planned excursion, just when we needed it every, single, time! The Bushbar was the gathering spot for laughs and great conversations! A highlight was a tour of the recording studio, led by owner Steve, who was a warm friendly presence throughout our stay. Geejam embodied why Portie, with its beautifully lush, rustic landscape, warm people and energized vibes, is my favorite parish in Jamaica!
GeeJam is a gem!!! I just visited and can simply state that my visit was magical! I visited with friends who were celebrating a milestone birthday celebration for one of our dearest friends! Staff was awesome! My stay was mostly at the Ska cabin which I highly recommend! Also stayed at the Sandwood Villa which was more than divine! GeeJam offers beautiful views of the ocean and lush tropical landscapes which were unforgettable! Steve, the owner was present! Thank you Steve and staff for insuring that my stay was unforgettable! Food was amazing! The local beaches were breathtaking! The excursions within close proximity were unforgettable! Must mention the music studio tour at GeeJam was such a huge highlight! The only thing that did not bring me joy, was having to leave! I certainly will visit again! One Love????????
Geejam is a special place. Overlooking the beautiful Portland coastline, it’s set amongst the sub-tropical environment of SanSan close to Frenchman’s cove. From the generous and friendly welcome to our fond farewell a couple of weeks later we had the absolute best time. It’s so easy to switch off, relax and unwind in the cool and informal restaurant and bar - where we had some incredible cocktails served by the expert Brian and the team (the ginger margs were a revelation!). Delicious food and fun and friendly service from the whole team. Our room was so incredibly cool! Huge room and bathroom with a serene balcony to admire the sea view. Probably one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in! Probably the best was joining Steve’s visit to the music studios on site and hearing his fascinating stories of the world famous artists who have come to record at Geejam, and the connections to the Bond 007 franchise. One the most beautiful yet cool places we’ve been - come, you won’t be sorry.
It’s a given that Geejam is a beautifully appointed hotel but the real gem is the staff. Spent the last few days at Geejam while they navigated no power and limited internet but they worked to ensure our comfort. Special acknowledgement to Nadine and Brian who went above and beyond!
I took a good friend to Port Antonio to see the place. The hotel was nice but thr stairs a disincentive for me and anyone else with weak legs. Cominicatoon needs improving. We asked for the wifi password and they said the sent it on whatsapp but we had no internet commention. Very laid back approach
I cannot thank the owner and staff enough for a truly memorable and hospitable stay. I was given a stunning suite overlooking the bay which was divine. The staff made me feel so at home, they could not do enough for me. The food was sublime and delivered with a smile. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Thank you all.

From the moment we arrived at Geejam, we were completely blown away. The property is tucked away in lush tropical surroundings, offering a perfect blend of privacy, luxury, and authentic Jamaican charm. It truly feels like a hidden oasis. The Jamaican breakfast each morning was a highlight – fresh, flavorful, and the perfect way to start the day. From ackee and saltfish to perfectly ripe fruit and rich Blue Mountain coffee, every bite was a reminder of the island’s incredible culinary culture. What really sets Geejam apart is the warmth and hospitality of the staff. Every team member, from housekeeping to the front desk, made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for. A special thank you to the owner, who made time to connect with guests and ensure everyone was having a memorable experience – a personal touch that means a lot. The private beach was another standout – serene, secluded, and postcard-perfect. We loved taking the kayaks out on the calm water and lounging with a drink in hand. The bar area is stylish and relaxed, with a great selection of cocktails and a perfect view of the coastline. If you're looking for a luxurious yet laid-back escape in Jamaica, Geejam is a must. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already planning our return.
I absolutely loved my stay at geejam. From the arrival to your nice clean room. It was amazing. Reception was on point, one call or text to guest services and they are right at your door. The staff was kind, polite and very attentive. The food was superb and the alcohol was to my liking. I give them a 10/10 will definitely be back. Also the tour to the studio was amazing and learned a lot and saw where the big stars did their thing!
