Guest：If you're travelling by car the underground car park at this hotel won't suit many people. It's tight to enter and you need to be brave to manouvre into the spaces. On ourfirst night the outside temperature had dropped making the room cold. Only then did we find the heating wassn't working. Credit to the owner who had this fixed by the morning. Nice restaurant but recommend a wander around the town to see other places to eat. In the Bachhaus square you'll find an excellent steakhouse .. If sightseeing, take the bus to Wartburg Castle and then walk down if it's not raining. Generally the hotel was nice to stay in.
Guest：Pros: easy to reach parking spacious rooms good price /quality ratio I thought the 10 minute walk to the city centre was great - maybe not everybody likes the distance Cons: a bit of a struggle with the (free) internet on the password
Guest：The down duvet was so comfortable- the only one on our trip. The hotel is well located and the breakfast was lovely. Our only negative would be the 8 or 10 steep marble steps to the lobby. We are 2 older women with back issues and have a hard time with our luggage on stairs!
Guest：What we liked most about the Glockenhof were the authentic public areas (bar, restaurants, patio etc.) which, after a rather sterile experience in Berlin were a pleasure. The food was great. We had a huge room with a triple bay window. The bathroom was slightly dated but fully functional.The hotel is literally just yards from the Bachhouse, commemorating J.S.Bach. The Luther house appears to be closed at the moment, but Eisenach is a splendid town - and Wartburg castle just up the hill!
