  • Guest：I booked a 16th birthday meal for my daughter, for a family group of 17. I had heard the place had had a recent refurb and what a lovely surprise. Such a tasteful place, lovely furnishings, decor and open plan in the main room. Literally nothing was too much trouble. Dave the manager was really organised, friendly, helpful from the preorder the day before that I emailed over, to making sure that everyone had what they ordered, and an odd change of mind on the day. Every member of the staff, including the waitresses were fantastic, helpful, friendly. We had a great time. They brought out the birthday cake and were more than happy to bring napkins and plates so we could cut and hand out to the family. The food was lovely and good value. I had the prawn cocktail and then the crispy chilli beef, both were super tasty. The roast dinners were lovely, rag puddings, flatbreads, everything was tasty. Will definitely be going back. Well done Broadoak!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at The Broadoak, and I can’t speak highly enough about the food, the atmosphere, and especially the service. We arrived as a surprise for an 18th birthday celebration, and from the moment we walked through the door, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. Heidi, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. Her warm, professional manner made a real difference to our experience. At short notice, Heidi arranged a round dinner table to better accommodate a family member with dementia and hearing difficulties. It was a small gesture that made a huge impact, showing genuine care and understanding. It's rare to find that level of attentiveness these days, and it didn't go unnoticed. To the Broadoak management: please take a moment to share this review with Heidi. She is a credit to your team and truly deserves recognition for the exceptional service she provides. Thank you again for making a special occasion even more memorable.
