  • Guest：Some things great, some not so great Great food and beautiful setting. Staff were a bit cold at times and less than attentive, but nothing that warrants an outright complaint. Room was sweltering in the night (stayed in August), and we had no way of asking for a fan. Might be worth asking for one as you check in.
  • Guest：Could be better Upon arrival, the pub look magnificent in the afternoon sunshine but the welcome, after my long trip, was non existent. I was pointed in the direction of my room that was located in different building. The room was nicely appointed but the exterior wall in the bathroom had a serious fault in the plasterwork which demonstrated a lack of care or attention to detail. The damp issue had obviously been around for a long time! Dinner was ok but with a little finesse it could have been much better. The standard of service was best described as disinterested. Breakfast was very good. The setting of the Asseton Arms is delightful and I would possibly stay again
