  • Guest:Me and my fiance stayed here early September. We had a fantastic time. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Bar is well stocked and reasonably priced, provides nice poolside snacks and drinks. The steps are a challenge but a shuttle bus is provided, and providing you’re reasonably fit they’re not too challenging - tip: take your pool bag up to breakfast to avoid making multiple trips to the room. Access is easy to a beautiful beach where the water taxi runs to the old town for €5/person each way hourly. Would definitely recommend!
  • Guest:We have just returned from a ten day stay at the Skiathos Blu Hotel. There is no doubt there are a lot of steps( 311 to be exact) but they are not overly difficult and there are many stopping points to rest and enjoy the view. If you time your return from town right you can take advantage of the minibus transfer in the evening, but the mini bus doesn’t run in the afternoon. We took booked half board at a very reasonable rate with TUI and this gave us the option not to go into town if we wanted a quiet night in, the food was very good and I did not recognise some of the comments placed here, plenty of fresh fruit and salads. The breakfast was also of good quality, fresh fruit, cheeses, and of course, plenty of yoghurt and honey as well as a plentiful choice of cooked options. They say the staff make an experience and the team at the Skiathos Blu are excellent, from Maria and Konstantina serving in the bar in evening and Georgina and Anastasia in the pool bar, the service was fantastic and drinks reasonably priced, the same as bars in town. The restaurant manager guided my wife with regards her dairy allergy and the reception team answered all our questions, no wonder so many people return, just like we intend to do. Thanks for great holiday and see you next year.
  • Guest:We knew the hotel had lots of steps when we booked so chose to stay in the main building. The room we were allocated was overlooking the car park and as we were celebrating a special anniversary it was a bit of a disappointment. My husband asked on the off chance if we could change rooms, hoping to have one overlooking the pool. It was no problem, within 10 minutes they had offered us Bungalow 1 which was right at the top of the steps but really convenient to the pool and main hotel. It also offered a lovely sea view. Hotel itself is very quaint with cobbled floors and a chic Greek design. Restaurant offered some lovely outdoor seating. We paid extra to have half board as we knew the hotel didn’t have much in the way of restaurants around it. Food was average if I’m totally honest, a small buffet which had adequate choice, always found something to eat but we did decide to eat out in Skiathos town quite a few times. Staff are very friendly and happy, especially in the main bar and restaurant. Pool was lovely and we didn’t fail to get sunbeds at any time. Snacks at the pool bar were lovely. We chose to take the water taxi most nights into town at €5 per person one way. We tried the bus (stop 12) but it was exceptionally busy at the times we tried. The last water taxi back from the town is 10.30pm and the hotel shuttle did not operate by the time it arrived back at the beach. The beach bar was lovely with a really chilled vibe, we had drinks here most nights after disembarking the water taxi. We didn’t use the beach in the day, instead we walked 15 minutes to Kanapitsa beach, the sunbeds here were €15 for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella. We fell in love with Skiathos town with its many alleys crammed with bars and restaurants. We will definitely return to Skiathos but unfortunately not to this hotel. The steps down were easy but tackling them upwards, sometimes twice a day took the edge off our stay.
  • Guest:We spent a week here in August with our two grown up daughters (19 and 22) and there were several similar family groups here at the time. This is a very civilised hotel. It has a lovely luxe coastal feel and remarkable views. The publicity photos don’t really do it justice. The breakfasts are super and eating on the veranda in the mornings is a fabulous start to the day. Most of our days were spent at the Beach Club at the bottom of the steps (not a problem), which is pricey but worth it for some special days by the sea. I would return to this hotel. We had a great time.
