Guest：You couldn't say that this hotel is the most contemporary around but its getting all the important things right. We stayed for 7 nights in August. They don't charge for the aircon and the unit we had worked very well. Most important in August! The room was very clean and cleaned daily. Everything worked fine. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, we had a side view of the ocean. Because of the postioning of the rooms I think most of the rooms have some kind of ocean view. The pool is excellent as it's very large and it never seemed to get busy. So people were not putting towels on sun loungers early in the morning to reserve them. I noticed too that they had cleaners every morning washing down the loungers. Overall the hotel is very clean. The only negative for me was the breakfast. The area where the tables is set up is in full sun which even at 8am is pretty strong, some kind of awning to tone that down a bit would be good. The breakfast buffet was adequate, all the usual suspects but most days we skipped it preferring to go into town to a bakery. They provide a shuttle which runs each hour to the town, we used that most evenings even though we had a car so I could have a couple of beers. There is very good snorkelling opposite the hotel via a small rocky beach from the corner of the car park. Amazing amount of fish to see! Skala is closeby and there are lots of good restaurants and bars. I've just booked to go to Porto Skala again next August. When I looked at hotels and holidays around the same price range, there really wasn't anything that looked as good.
Guest：Had a lovely 2 weeks in Skala staying at the Porto Skala Hotel. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooms are cleaned every day. Bedding changes every 2 days. Breakfast is nice and caters for everyone Pool area is fabulous and never a problem finding a sun bed. Towles for the pool are provided. The staff are amazing g especially Evelyn and Marianne and c cant do enough for you. We arrived late at night and they had saved a cold buffet for us which was so welcome. The only reason for the 4 stars is the distance from town. Although there is a shuttle bus which runs every half hour for 2 euros each it was just a little to far out for us. All in all lovely place and staff and really enjoyed our stay.
Guest：We went to Porto Skala with two kids (8and 10years) in the beginnig od season and we enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel stays in calm place near by little beaches in a walk distance. Big pool with a lot of sunbeds, bar by the pool. Transfers to Skala easily made at the reception desk, taxi anytime available, for bigger trips is better to rent a car. The outwiew from the restaurant is lovely, food was very good. All personal is very nice and helpfull. We recommend and will come again.
Guest：Highly recommend ?????????? We had a fantastic 10 day holiday in July 2025 with our children (age 14 - 23). The hotel is so cute with all the different coloured apartments and the rooms are cool (air conditioned), spacious, comfortable and cleaned every morning with fresh linen and towels. All with a beautiful sea view from the balcony. The pool is just perfect, with plenty of space for everyone and always enough sun loungers. There’s also a poolside bar offering snacks, drinks (hot/cold/cocktails) and lunch menu. The buffet breakfast was nice and had plenty of options. It did get busy towards the end of service so we tended to go early and beat the rush. We didn’t have the dinner option as it was very expensive and with better, cheaper options in the nearby town we were happy to venture out for dinner. The town was quite a walk from the hotel so we took advantage of the hotel bus which ran morning - evening. You just need to book at reception, the staff were always extremely accommodating, friendly and helpful. Especially Evelyn - she was an absolute ANGEL and made so much effort to ensure we were happy and had everything we could want and more! I would say it would be beneficial to hire a car as there isn’t much close by and with the temperatures in the high 30s you should ensure it has air conditioning! There is parking across the road from the hotel. As well as two stunning little coves with crystal clear water where our children enjoyed snorkelling to see all the fish. The water was clean and cool - so refreshing on the hottest days. Overall this was a fab holiday that I would recommend. Only thing I would change would be to hire a car so we could travel at our leisure and see more of the island and maybe go slightly earlier or later in the year when it’s not so hot. I also think it would be a great idea for the hotel to have music at the bar in the evenings as it’s such a beautiful spot. There’s lovely seating outside reception overlooking the sea but didn’t ever see anyone serving at that bar. With some music on and a drink with that view it would be just perfect ??
