AC Hotel Palacio de Santa Ana was built on the site of an 18th century convent named de los Jeronimos which is set in Arroyo de la Encomienda close to Valladolid. It has become one of the most emblematic 5 star hotels in the area. This building has been refurbished maintaining the simple elegance of ancient architecture in harmony with the services and facilities of the 21st Century. Our hotel features a Turkish bath, indoor swimming pool, fitness and center. The Cloister is a spectacular and ultra-relaxing dome which serves as a common space here our AC Lounge, limited schedule and restaurant Los Jeronimos offer guests a varied menu of Spanish and Castilian dishes combined with an appropriate selection of wines.   • Guest：Unfortunately we were given two rooms adjacent to the staff entrance. Staff were arriving from 5am and continuously pressing the electronic buzzer which was way too loud and could be heard from our rooms. To make matters worse some of the staff would hold loud conversations impeding a good nights sleep. The staff attitude when we complained was one of indifference and they also confirmed that other guests had complained in the past. Knowing there is a problem and not doing anything about it demonstrates a lack of professionalism. On another note, we ate at the hotel restaurant and the food was terrible and small portions. To be honest I found that the quality of the food was well below standards and overpriced. Rooms were looking a bit dated and dusty, but comfortable. The hotel itself is quite beautiful and striking as this used to be a monastery of sorts… Personally I wouldn’t stay here again because of our experience.

  • Guest：Looking at the photos one expects the hotel to be in a meadow, however it is in a busy suburb of Valladolid near a huge shopping center. Don't know when they took the pictures but the area is very different from the photos, and although it is very convenient to the highway the GPS takes you around and around, so not very easy to find, specially since you are looking for a bucolic setting. The rooms are spacious and so are the bathrooms but the first room we were offered had a bad odor so we changed to another room and this one had a bad smell as well, although not as bad as the first one. It smelled like sewage but the smell did not came from the bathrooms. Strange. The rooms are dark, the public areas are dark, everything is dark. The only bright spot is their service;the staff is very helpful and pleasant.
