  • Guest：I stayed at the Mitre House Hotel in London. The only real advantage of this hotel is its location, but overall the standard of accommodation is extremely poor. For the same price, there are many better options nearby. The room appears to have had no refurbishment since the 1970s. Both the bed and the carpet were unclean — in particular, I am 100% certain that the bed linens had not been changed, as I found multiple hairs of different colours and lengths in the bed. The blanket was visibly yellowed inside and had a strong, unpleasant body odour. Walking across the carpet, the old wooden floorboards underneath creaked loudly. There was also an unpleasant smell in the room, so I had to keep the window open for ventilation. Unfortunately, our room faced directly onto the hotel kitchen’s ventilation system, and between around 4–5 a.m. the entire room smelled as if a chef were cooking right beside my bed. As I had already checked in, I had no choice but to stay the night. Thankfully, I had brought a bedsheet and a camping blanket(always in my car just in case), which allowed me to get through the night. I would never stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
