  • Guest:We had the most absolutely wonderful time at Six Senses, Laamu. I just could not fault it if I tried. Yes, yes, nothing is 'perfect' - but, if anything is, this is... The resort itself is beautiful - located on its own island, it has its own reef and so much marine life. They also grow their own vegetables and fruit for the restaurants (and there is even a mushroom hut where all of their mushrooms grow!). The water is purified from seawater, and they have their own generator for electricity. The whole island is also plastic-free. It is the sustainable, eco-friendly approach which drew us to this resort, and it is certainly a paradigm for what other resorts could be doing... Most wonderful is the sea grass which Laamu has been protecting since 2017. We attended a lecture on sea grass while we were there (there are marine biology lectures every evening, given by their team of in-house marine biologists!) and also went on a guided sea grass snorkel - two experiences which stressed how important sea grass is for mitigating climate change and protecting local eco-systems. Many resorts in the Maldives will rip up sea grass, but Six Senses Laamu runs a campaign where hotels pledge to protect their sea grass (so far, only 25% of resorts have pledged, so if you are looking to travel to the Maldives, please choose somewhere that protects it... not least because this is where you will see marine life! While on the island, we saw manta rays, turtles, dolphins... which the sea grass attracts! If you want to see sealife, you want to go somewhere with sea grass!). I also personally think the sea grass looks beautiful against the turquoise waters. As someone who is vegan, food is always something I research before travelling... and Laamu's vegan options is indeed one of the reasons I booked in the first place! The vegan options were even better than I expected. At the (free / unlimited!!) ice-cream bar, there are 10 vegan ice-creams and maybe 25 vegan sorbets; and there are entire, dedicated vegan menus in the Chill Bar and Leaf restaurants. Twice a week, there are themed buffets in the Longitude Restaurant (one was Mediterranean and the other Asian Street Food), and there were an astounding number of vegan foods to choose from. At these buffets, there are stalls where the chefs make the dishes fresh right in front of your eyes (!), and, though not all of these are vegan, the staff actually, without asking, sent some vegan versions of these dishes to our table so I could try them! As with everything at Laamu, thoughtfulness is at the heart of what they do. At the Zen (sushi) restaurant, the chefs also kindly made the most incredible vegetable maki even though it wasn't on the menu (which was the best sushi I've personally tried!). I loved this sushi so much that, on the final morning, the chef surprised my sister and I with a plate of avocado maki for breakfast, which was beyond thoughtful, and just speaks to how personable everybody is. It really is, more
  • Guest:We had a fabulous time. Special thanks to Uncle Faudi, our GEM, the hardest working man on the island, and to Kyle at Tropicsurf, thanks to whom I learnt to stand on a surfboard! Loved our time there and spent most of it in the water. Snorkelling is easy off the house reef and between the water villa jetties - saw quite a few turtles and rays. Also did some diving and water-skiing. Hospitality and service were fantastic overall; without Faudi we would have been lost. He made such an effort to keep up with all our requests and always did it with a smile. Food was maybe not as varied as we would have liked but it was of good quality. We had a very relaxing time apart from the desire to be in the water all the time!
  • Guest:It is a perfect location for relax and also if you like sea activities. It is wonderful can see turtles from you village. The hotel has a lot of amenities that you can order. • Guest:We had an unforgettable stay at Six Senses Maldives. From the moment we arrived, the entire team made us feel so welcomed and cared for. Our GEM -Riq! Our super star of the resort, Riq went above and beyond to take care of every detail of our trip – his attentiveness, thoughtfulness, and genuine care truly made our experience seamless and special. The dining was absolutely world-class. Every meal felt like a Michelin-star experience – from the freshness of the ingredients to the creativity in presentation, we were consistently amazed. The breakfast menu was not just gourmet and healthy, everything we ordered was delicious, the staff there also made personalized experience for us. What really stood out to us, beyond the stunning beauty of the island, was the warmth of the staff. Everyone greeted us with a smile and treated us like family, creating a home-away-from-home feeling that we deeply miss already. Six Senses Maldives is more than just a luxury resort; it’s a place where every detail is curated to perfection and every guest is cared for with heart. We can’t wait to return.
