Guest：We chose turtle beach resort with the huge slash & slide, as a place to meet up with several family members, all of us travelling long distances with kids, to attend a wedding. The idea was to give the kids something really fun to reward them after the tedious journey there, & let their wild side out, with maximum fun in the minimum time we had before getting ready for the wedding. But when we arrived, the big splash & slide was closed for renovations. At no point were we, the customers informed of this before booking or at check in. What a let down. We certainly wouldn’t have booked here. Or we would have expected some type of consolation for the let down. Also the deadlock on our apartment door was not functional, so as soon as the toddlers realised they could open the front door, none of the parents could relax, we had to be on high alert monitoring that door. Also the apartment staircase is very very steep, so definitely also required monitoring & assistance for small children, & anyone carrying a child, or going up or down at night. Sensor lights for the staircase or continuous rail might have helped make that safer. Otherwise the apartment was lovely, clean. staff were lovely & responsive. They did confidently give us wrong info about the women’s change rooms in the pool areas being suitable to begin getting ready for our wedding. There wasn’t women’s rooms. Just a unisex cubical & an outdoor shower. But they did organise an early check in soon after. Much Appreciated.
Guest：A great place for family fun, especially with younger kids. The big water slide pool was under maintenance during our stay so we were restricted to a single slide pool which was still fun but got very busy at times. We weren't told of the shutdown of the bigger water slide pool. Some activities are charged separately to the hotel booking which added unexpected expense. The room was nice with facilities typically found in apartments. There was no room cleaning or restocking of toiletries etc. You could purchase additional stock at the main desk or buy elsewhere. It is a huge complex and despite maps and directions from staff, was difficult to find your way to facilities at the other end of the complex due to the maze of walkways and lack of signage. In our case, we did not locate the cafe or kids play ground and cinema which were apparently located at the other end of the complex. The gardens are nice and well maintained and staff were pleasant. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
