Guest：Lovely room, nice bar and restaurant area. Nice food, especially the roast beef dinner. Breakfast good too. Conveniently located for Kendal and surrounding areas. Staff were friendly and efficient. My husband was unwell 1 day during our 3 night stay and they were very kind; asking me how he was and if he needed anything. There’s a farm shop across the road too with nice cafe.
Guest：Absolutely love this place! Lovely, welcoming atmosphere and attentive, friendly staff! The food is amazing, fantastic place to stay the most quirky rooms and free parking. Worth paying a visit even for a nice coffee in the morning to admire all the Christmas decorations and the lovely open crackling fire; my first choice when breaking up the journey, see you all next time
Guest：The weather was horrible but this place was great ; lovely fire and nicely decorated for the festive season ; loved the arch and the stag ; great food and service although they seemed very busy and the manager, Lonela was bubbly and friendly ; would definately recommend
Guest：We stopped by on the off chance for some food and I’m so glad we did. The place was busy with a great atmosphere but they still managed to fit us in. Great menu but we decided to keep traditional and stick to a roast as it is a Sunday. We had the beef with a side of cauliflower and broccoli cheese which I have to say is the tastiest I’ve had. All staff were great, happy and courteous with guests but thanks especially to Emma who managed to get us in and looking after us. Next time we’re up we will be visiting again and I’d highly recommend. Ian
